Sometimes I wish life was like a musical. We all break into song during stressful times and then things seem to always end in a happy and fulfilling way.

Stress, now theres a word we all enjoy. There is the good stress, like love, and watching a movie, or making dinner. Then there are the bad ones...you know, bills, kids, errands, bills, housing, food, bills...oh and did I meantion BILLS.

The newest thing in my life is the I cannot seem to follow "The Secret". The idea that what you think and preach are heard by the universe and that everything is brought back to you. So if you think positive thoughts and speak positive affirmations all the time, perhaps the universe will fill your life with everything you have ever wanted. But you see there's this one thing that bothers me, we, as humans are not very good at thinking positive ALL THE TIME! At least I'm not. What about you?

Well, I got some bad news recently, and so I decided that I am definitely Cursed. I've suspected for awhile, but it was just a matter of finding the right thing to prove it to myself.

Last year my famiy and I became homeless, we moved into a shelter, and accident occured and the state took my kids. After a long battle, we were proven innocent and the kids were returned. We had a home, and we were figuring things out. It looked great. Until a lady shows up on our door step and announces that we have 2 weeks to pack and move. You see the apartment building that we rent in, it turns out that it has gone through a foreclosure. So they are offering us a small monetary incentive to move out of their newly acquired building. And there is no where for us to go. I put my savings into this place. It was supposed to be home for at LEAST a year! I'm pissed off, needless to say.

However, I am not failing yet. We are looking, we are searching and we are hoping. And even though I know that being human means thinking stupidly sometimes, I know that I am not really cursed, I'm just human. Annoyed with reality, but human.

Geting back into the Art Groove

Things in my life have been really sort of screwy lately. There was a lot of sad things. So I haven't been able to do any really good art stuffs lately. Anyhow, I was just looking at artwork on Flickr.com and I came across these matchboxes. I asked her if I could use her idea in a swap. So I found a matchbox template from a favorite site and then printed up a bunch on colored paper and a few I went and found some images and printed them on the outside. I really believe in giving the proper credits for anything I use. Blogging and Web Pages

I bought a beautiful web page set not too long ago. And now I have found a place to put it, the only problem is that I know nothing about HTML and all that puter jumbo! Nothing much happening right now, going through my almost 30 MB of art work! Most of it comes from the Elfwood pages where my art work is located. I love that place. Just going one day at a time as there isn't much to do with myself.

Life sort of fell apart back in November, and I've been living in the harldy there state for awhile. But 2 weeks ago, who knew it could get worse! So now, harldy there seemed functional compared to now. The two things that are keeping my head up is this new thing I discovered...its called Blogging...I really don't know what that means, excpet the other blogs I have seen are just the ramblings of each individual and their lives. So I figured I should be able to handle it. I hope. The other thing keeping me afloat is that my kids still need me. I may not have them with me right now, but I WILL get them back, and so I have to stay strong...or at least pretend I'm strong.

Well, here I wil stop and think about what to put on here next. Maybe I'll share some of my art or something. I dunno.

My first Blog

I just joined a swap group called swap-bot. I have been missing doing swaps in my pen pal adventures and so I joined the group hoping that I might make some new friends and find a new niche. I joined my first swap and thinking it would be relatively easy, it turns out that actually I needed my own blog space...and I have to try to keep i up too. Well, needless to say I feel silly as I have never actually created a blog, until now. I have a couple of web pages going....one at tripod, which frankly is just sort of this side of sucking, and then my art at Elfwood, which is where I was going to send them as my blog spot. Only I never actually blog there, I update the info on occasion. So, you see, I misread and jumped to conclusions and feel really silly now.

However, I did take the time to read through the blogs assigned to me and I left comments on all of them, because I felt at least I can do my side of things. Even if I don't have a true blog for them to go see. Well, I do now, but its only just begun and there isn't hardly anything here. But here is to me, and a new adventure in blogging!
